Adventure and overland travel have become increasingly popular over recent years, having diversified from the traditional safari, to include tours covering a vast range of destinations, and catering for different trip styles and budgets.
There are now a large number of specialist tour operators offering tours both to the well established safari destinations such as Kenya and South Africa, but also to an increasing number of alternative destinations. Many of these tours venture well off the beaten track, and allow participants to see and experience peoples, landscapes and cultures at first hand.
Trips range from a few days, to a few weeks, or even several months! Many are overland truck based, generally staying at a different location each night. There are also a lot of specialised tours, including family adventures, lodge-based safaris, self-drive tours, trekking and cycling trips, and fund-raising or volunteering trips. Whether you're a backpacker on a tight budget or an experienced traveller looking for a luxury safari, you should be able to find what you're looking for.
AdventureSearch was formed to simplify the process of finding and comparing the different tours and travel options available, and to provide a useful resource for planning or researching a trip. Using the advanced search facility, you can search by country or route, and by specific tour operator or trip style. You can also limit the search to trips departing within a specific date range or for a set duration.
